Prayer of Gratitude and Divine Guidance for Osun State’s Newly Elected Local Government Chairmen and Councilors...



Let us pray. 🙏


Heavenly Father, I, along with many like-minded individuals, come before You with hearts full of appreciation and gratitude for the successful completion of the February 22 Local Government Elections in Osun State.


We thank You for Your grace, protection, and the smooth organization and execution of this grassroots-oriented democratic process by the appropriate authorities, particularly the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) under the leadership of Barr. Abioye Hashim.


We are grateful for the leadership of the Osun State administration under Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, who ensured the necessary constitutional structures were in place to guarantee free, fair, and globally recognized local government elections.


We also thank You, Lord, for the resilient, peace-loving, and cooperative people of Osun State, who have demonstrated their love for democracy and their unwavering support for Governor Adeleke by exercising their civic duty in the most peaceful manner, despite all odds. Father Lord, accept our thanks in Jesus' name. Amen.


As we embark on this new chapter in Local Government administration, we pray that You grant our newly elected Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen, and Ward Councilors the wisdom, resilience, strength of character, and clarity of mind to lead with integrity and purpose. May they not only make their electorate proud and serve diligently but, most importantly, honor You, the Almighty, who has entrusted them with this responsibility.


Just as You have blessed Governor Ademola Adeleke with the ability to conceive and execute impactful projects successfully, Lord, we pray that You bless the hands and minds of these new leaders to do the same. May their ideas be innovative, their actions be fruitful, and their leadership be transformative.


Father, we pray that all their efforts align with Your divine will. May they be protected from harm, strengthened physically, mentally, and emotionally, and blessed with good health, wisdom, and emotional intelligence to serve effectively throughout their tenure.


Lord, let it be well with them, their households, and their extended families. May they lead with justice, fairness, accountability, and a deep sense of service to the people.


Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for already granting our requests. You are a faithful God, a promise keeper, and the ultimate source of all blessings.


In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen and Amen.

  BREAKING NEWS LG Poll: Osun Govt Vindicated as APC Withdraws Reinstatement /No-Vacancy Suit at Federal High Court Amidst Supreme Court ruling on local government election, Osun state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has hurriedly filed a notice of discontinuance on its case seeking declaration that there is no vacancy at the local government level and a reinstatement of its Yes/No Chairmen. The case filed before the local government election sought a declaration and an order that there is no vacancy and so local government elections should not be held in Osun state. The case was ongoing when the Supreme Court ruled that the Rivers state local government election was illegally conducted and therefore null and void.   BREAKING: Court orders Akin Adeyi's arrest Following the absence of the defendant, Akin Adeyi in court today for the second time, a Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo has issued a bench warrant and ordered his arrest without any delay.  On Wednesday, 3rd July 2024, when his case brought before the magistrate court, he absconded as his lawyer signed an undertaken with the police to produce him anytime his (Adeyi) attention is needed.  Recall that the defendant (Adeyi) wrote an article where he claimed that one of the Imole De Buses involved in a fatal accident and killed a motorcyclist in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.  He was invited by the police to prove the allegation against. His inability to provide evidence to back up his allegation made the police to charge him to court.
