 Royal Endorsement and a Call for Continuity: Otunba Omisakin James Adebayo Urges Ìfẹ́ to Stand Firm with Governor Adeleke

The leading aspirant for the House of Representatives in Ìfẹ́ Federal Constituency, Otunba Omisakin James Adebayo, has expressed his deep appreciation to the respected palace chiefs of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ for their recent visit and open show of support for the performing Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, ahead of his second-term bid.

Otunba Omisakin described the visit of the palace chiefs as timely, historic, and symbolic, noting that it reflects the collective wisdom and progressive thinking of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ traditional institution. According to him, the chiefs’ support clearly demonstrates their belief that the people of Ìfẹ́ are firmly behind Governor Adeleke and will overwhelmingly support his re-election without hesitation or regret.

He acknowledged that the palace chiefs, in their wisdom, recognized the immense contributions of Governor Adeleke to the development of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ and Osun State at large. From road infrastructure to social amenities, security enhancement, education reforms, and people-oriented policies, the Governor has consistently demonstrated genuine love and commitment to the wellbeing of the people. Otunba Omisakin particularly noted the importance of ongoing projects, including the overhead bridge in Ilé-Ifẹ̀, which the people strongly desire to see completed soonest. 

Otunba Omisakin further emphasized that the support of the Ilé-Ifẹ̀ palace chiefs for Governor Adeleke’s second-term bid is a powerful signal to all sons and daughters of Ìfẹ́ Federal Constituency to rally fully behind continuity. He passionately advocated for total support for the Governor, stressing that a second term is not only necessary to consolidate existing achievements but also strategic for the future political interest of Ilé-Ifẹ̀.

According to him, Governor Adeleke requires only an additional four years to complete his second term, after which Ilé-Ifẹ̀ can strongly position itself to present and project a credible successor for the governorship of Osun State. He cautioned that diverting support to another party—particularly the APC—could prolong Ilé-Ifẹ̀’s wait for leadership relevance, as such a move could mean an additional eight years outside the center of power, with no clear benefit or guarantee of development.

Otunba Omisakin warned that Ilé-Ifẹ̀ must think deeply and strategically before aligning with political forces that have previously offered little or nothing in terms of meaningful development. He noted that the APC’s years in power brought minimal dividends to Ìfẹ́, while Governor Adeleke’s administration has delivered visible, impactful, and people-focused projects across the constituency.

He concluded by calling on all stakeholders, leaders, youths, elders, and residents of Ìfẹ́ Federal Constituency to unite and rally round Governor Ademola Adeleke to successfully complete his second term in office. With the Governor’s proven love for the people—evident in unmatched infrastructure development, improved social amenities, enhanced security, and revitalized education—Otunba Omisakin stressed that continuity remains the surest path to sustained progress and a brighter future for Ilé-Ifẹ̀ and Osun State.
