Beloved people of Osun State the State of the Living Spring, 

On this sacred commemoration of Good Friday, I extend warm and heartfelt greetings to you all. Today is a solemn reminder of sacrifice, redemption, and the triumph of light over darkness. It is a day that speaks to the conscience of humanity a day when love bore the burden of injustice, and righteousness prevailed against all odds.

𝘼𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙮 𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙨, “𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙃𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙛𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙨.” 𝙄𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮: 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙗𝙮 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚; 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙗𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚..

Good Friday, therefore, is not just a religious observance it is a call to responsibility. It reminds us that the foundation of any thriving society must be rooted in justice, compassion, and accountability. Even in the face of persecution and flawed judgment, truth endured. And so must it always be in our collective journey as a people.

In Osun State today, we are witnessing a refreshing alignment of governance with these enduring virtues. Under the purposeful and people-centred leadership of Ademola Adeleke, governance has taken a humane and progressive direction. It is a leadership defined by empathy, inclusiveness, and visible impact a leadership that understands that the welfare of the people remains paramount salus populi suprema lex.

From the revival of critical infrastructure to the restoration of workers’ confidence and the strengthening of social welfare initiatives, the administration has demonstrated, in clear and measurable terms, that governance can indeed work for the people. This is leadership in action rooted in sincerity, driven by purpose, and guided by the collective good.

As we reflect on the deep meaning of this holy day, we must also look ahead with clarity and conviction. The journey of progress that Osun State has embarked upon must not be derailed. Just as the resurrection followed sacrifice, so must continuity follow good governance.

The forthcoming August 15 stands as a defining moment in our democratic history a moment that calls for wisdom, unity, and deliberate action. It is a day when the people of Osun will once again express their will, reaffirm their convictions, and determine the path forward.

I urge you all men and women of goodwill to approach that day with a sense of purpose. Let it be a moment where we collectively call on Ademola Adeleke to continue the noble work he has begun; a moment where we consolidate the gains of responsive governance and secure a future built on stability and progress.
