Osun Transformation: Dr Deji Adeleke is Proud of His Brother Intellectual pursuit and excellence are traditionally built on empirical facts. When facts are deliberately twisted to achieve partisan goals, the public, the citizenry, immediately identifies intellectual deceit and a prelude to a likely jaundiced academic thesis. Applied to the public space and as facts are sacred, governance analysis from dispassionate analysts, uninjured commentators and unemotional observers convinced Dr Deji Adeleke, the patriarch of the Adeleke dynasty, that his brother, Governor Ademola Adeleke, is delivering to his expectations and that of the voting public. That same view is held by many Nigerians. A reading of some articles including one by a journalist, Ismail Omipidan raises the imperative of fact checks. I will first submit that the writer’s justification for calling out Dr Deji Adeleke is flawed and based on false citations as all the four points raised are based on equally false narratives pr

BREAKING: Court orders Akin Adeyi's arrest Following the absence of the defendant, Akin Adeyi in court today for the second time, a Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo has issued a bench warrant and ordered his arrest without any delay.  On Wednesday, 3rd July 2024, when his case brought before the magistrate court, he absconded as his lawyer signed an undertaken with the police to produce him anytime his (Adeyi) attention is needed.  Recall that the defendant (Adeyi) wrote an article where he claimed that one of the Imole De Buses involved in a fatal accident and killed a motorcyclist in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.  He was invited by the police to prove the allegation against. His inability to provide evidence to back up his allegation made the police to charge him to court.

Osun State Politics: APC's Descent into Desperation and Deceit to Tarnish and Discredit Senator Oyewunmi's Reputation and Victory

Osun State Politics: APC's Descent into Desperation and Deceit to Tarnish and Discredit Senator Oyewunmi's Reputation and Victory The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State needs to move on from their defeat in the 2022 gubernatorial election and the 2023 national election. Instead of dwelling on their loss, they should focus on rebuilding and re-strategizing. However, the party's chairman recently made a baseless claim that Senator Lere Oyewunmi confessed to attempting to buy votes in the 2023 election. This is a clear misrepresentation of facts and a desperate attempt to tarnish the senator's reputation. Despite the cashless policy implemented by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the APC claims that Senator Oyewunmi used cash to buy votes. This is a blatant lie, as the Senator has always been an advocate for a cashless economy. The APC's desperation is evident in their attempt to discredit Senator Oyewunmi's victory, which was achieved through his po

Re: Outrage over Senator Oyewunmi's 2023 Polls Vote-Buying Confession, Attestation of Fear of Another Imminent Electoral Defeat of Osun APC Permit me to say here that it is high time that the main opposition party in Osun State, the All Progressives Congress ought to have waken up and move out of the defeat the party suffered in the last gubernatorial election of 2022 and national election of 2023. I had listened to the submission of the APC Chairman in Osun State about the senseless postulation that Akogun Lere Oyewumi, the senator representing the Osun West Senatorial District at the Red Chamber confessed that he tried to engaged in Vote-Buying but his money was returned back to him. It is trite to say that after winning the election, the senator tried to woo some strong member of the APC to join the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP because he sees them as asset to the ruling party. It is a common sense that every election comes with intriguing and tactics which each party adopts
